We built The Delphine around the idea that the best places don't rush you. There are hanging chairs for slow Saturday mornings, a book nook tucked away for a midweek escape with a flat white — one of the best places to read a book with a coffee in Glasgow — and a cocktail bar that gets progressively more interesting as the day goes on.

Food-wise, it's a European restaurant with Scottish produce at its core. Mornings might be our French toast — brioche soaked in condensed milk caramel and fried in butter, one of the best brunches in Glasgow city centre — or an açaí smoothie bowl if you're being virtuous. Lunch runs from a Vietnamese mango and noodle salad to The Delphine Burger with two smashed patties and homemade burger sauce. And in the evening, a seafood linguine with prawns, mussels, salmon and squid in a shellfish broth, or a fillet tail stroganoff with brandy and tarragon cream. On the drinks side, a properly made espresso martini, something with champagne you probably didn't plan on ordering, and a gin list that goes beyond the usual suspects.

You'll find us on the courtyard level of Princes Square, right off Buchanan Street in Glasgow city centre. Grab breakfast before the shops open, a working lunch with good wifi, date night dinner for two, or cocktails and champagne before heading somewhere else — or nowhere at all.

Morning

Coffee from first thing, with pastries, granola, and a full breakfast menu. The French toast with condensed milk caramel is the thing people keep coming back for. If you're after something lighter, the açaí smoothie bowl with berries, mango and gluten-free granola does the job. Weekends get busy for brunch — book ahead.

Afternoon

The Vietnamese mango and noodle salad if you're keeping things fresh, or The Delphine Burger if you're not. Small plates to share, a charcuterie board with baked camembert, and a wine list that works just as well at 2pm as it does at 9pm. We shift the lunch menu every month or so.

Evening

Seafood linguine in a shellfish broth, fillet tail stroganoff with brandy and tarragon, monkfish tacos — the dinner menu gets a bit more involved once the sun goes down. Champagne by the glass, martinis made properly, and a few things on the menu you won't find anywhere else in Glasgow.

Do I need to book a table at The Delphine?
Walk-ins are welcome and we keep space at the bar for drop-ins, but we'd recommend booking a table for dinner, weekend brunch, or groups of four or more. You can reserve a table here.

Princes Square is on Buchanan Street in Glasgow city centre. There’s no on-site parking, but the NCP on Mitchell Street is a three-minute walk and Buchanan Street subway station is even closer.
